Before allowing you to download Free Fallin' Fred, I must warn you that this game requires SDL, SDL_ttf, and SDL_Img so if you try running Free Fallin' Fred and it doesn't work, you should also install those libraries. I provide the dlls for the windows users below.

For the Windows users I have taken the time to compile an executable for you. You just need to download fred.zip and unzip it to the root of your c: drive. When finished you should have the following folders:

c:\fred\ - this contains the executable and a couple of text files
c:\fred\data\ - this contains all the images for the game

fred.exe will be in the c:\fred\ folder. Run it from there or create a shortcut to it.

For systems other than windows, you will need to compile the game yourself. I do plan to make a deb of the game and possibly even an rpm sometime in the future, but for now on Linux you are forced to compile yourself. I have not tested the game on any other system, so I have no idea if it will work or not. If you try it, let me know your results: stech@enormousplow.com.
